The Sharyland Band directors coordinated with the elementary school principals to spread some Holiday Cheer and promote our Sharyland High School Fine Arts Department!ย The Wind Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Perea visited our Elementary Campuses.ย Mr. Tim Watkins, choir director at SHS and BL Gray, was featured narrating the story of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.ย The visits gave 5th grade students a chance to start looking at band instruments for next year, and gave current 6th grade band students an opportunity to learn more about our band program.ย Students talked to high school band directors and members about scheduling and what to expect from both the junior high and high school classes, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
ย We are thrilled to have put this concert together and cannot wait to perform again for our students in our elementary schools!!!
