The SHS Rattler Band Boosters is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. The purpose of the corporation is to support the Sharyland Rattler Bands. The Booster organization is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including:

To support the music program of the Sharyland Rattler Bands.
To be an advocate group for music education within the community of Sharyland and the state of Texas;
To solicit charitable donations and otherwise promote and assist with those fund-raising activities conducted for the benefit of the bands, guard and percussion ensembles;
To provide support and assistance to Sharyland Rattler Bands for the purpose of enhancing the educational, social, and music experience of the students.

Services

What We Do

Chaperones

Whether it’s a home game or an overnight trip, the Booster volunteers accompany the Band to provide extra support and supervision. We are always looking for volunteers with medical training or first aid experience.

Prop Crew

A spectacular half-time performance depends on timing. The Band depends on our Boosters to help construct props and to assist moving them at the right time to the right place!

Concession Stand

As a non-profit organization, the Boosters rely on fundraising and donations for their budget. The concession stand at home games adds a great amount to our budget. It’s a great way to help the organization and have a great view of the game!

How You Can Help

The SHS Rattler Band Booster organization is made up of band parent volunteers. Parents donate their time to assist the band at football games and contests, they donate their time with fundraisers such as rummage sales, they donate items, or because of busy schedules, they choose to donate money. There are plenty of opportunities and an endless number of ways that members can help the students of the Sharyland Band. The first step is to let us know how you would like to help.

BAND BOOSTER MEMBERSHIP FORM

The SHS Rattler Band Boosters utilize the website “Sign-up” to let our members and parents know what we need help with and how many volunteers or items are required. We know that schedules can be hectic, and that our volunteers won’t necessarily be available each week at the same time. “Sign-Up” allows you to schedule your volunteer dates. You are able to add family members, choose shifts, and change amounts or dates. The slideshow on the right explains how to use the program if you need assistance. Invitations to each date can be found on the Band Calendar as well as on the weekly Reminds. We’ve added a button to take you directly to the band’s full “Sign-Up” schedule under the video.
